In 2014, I moved to a digital Cape Town agency, Lumico, where I oversaw editorial content. Two years later, I left behind agency life to begin my own enterprise and become a self-employed writer.
To date, I have worked on brands both local and abroad, lending my expertise to digital agencies in South Africa and the US. Here, I craft editorial work, blog copy, SEO content and more.
I have written for websites like Conor McGregor's The Mac Life, Eurogamer, Entrepreneur, and magazines like Skyways, FastCompany and more. I have an affinity for technology, video games, sport and business leadership, but I am adept at tailoring my work to the needs of the client.
Thanks to my journalism roots, I am fascinated by the everyday stories that surround us and enjoy interviewing and writing about real people.
At the end of 2016, I added the finishing touches to my first novel, The End of Innocence, which I hope to see published in 2017.
This website will be updated regularly with my work, which will reside under the "Campaigns" and "Articles" pages. By straddling the worlds of long-form journalism and advertising copywriting, my work experience is varied and extensive. Some of the agencies I partner today include Plan Z (New York), Area 213 (Cape Town and Johannesburg) and Lumico (Cape Town). In between writing about real stories, I am passionate about brands too - about conveying ideas in simple, elegant ways.
